Barbara to Belville) — Dense patch of nut sedge grass needs hand weeding mid-point of median 3 • North ROW— Remove Jasmine from traffic sign poles • South ROW at Belville intersection —+1- 60 LF area needs hand weeding • South ROW at both corners of east shopping center entry - Needs hand weeding • South ROW from east shopping center entry to S. Barbara - Needs hand weeding • The medians still need to be mulched. CLM is waiting for new PO. • CLM will fertilize this month. • CLM is to continue to monitor irrigation coverage and report programming needs or malfunctions to Roger, Harry and WSI. The temporary Hunter irrigation controllers are functioning well and have performed without incident. • Concerning the main water supply, CLM is still waiting for the new valve to arrive from California and continues to function with the temporary borrowed valve. The new power outlet at the pump station should be installed within the next two Windham Studio,Inc.,Landscape Architecture,LC 26000365 P.O. Box 1239,Bonita Springs,Florida 34133 Phone: (239) 390-1936 Fax: (239) 390-1937 Email: scott@windhamstudio.com www.windhamstudio.com 1 weeks. Once complete, then CLM will install a new, temporary controller to operate the main water supply valve and CLM will stop opening it manually as they are currently doing on water days. Again, this will be a temporary solution until the new operating system is installed in the future following committee review and selection. • Concerning alternative MSTU independent controllers for Devonshire, as discussed in the last meeting, the second group of manufacturers will present their systems at the June MSTU meeting. • The dead Lantana have been removed and the remaining ones that were cut back have begun to flush back out and flower. • All ROW Asian Jasmine needs to be top trimmed and edged. • Trim Silhouette at Lakeside park. • Radio Road Median Tip—Trim woody twigs out of Lantana and remove one dead plant. RADIO ROAD: In general the medians look healthy and well maintained with the following action items: • GENERAL: Dianella are in general thin, and inconsistent from plant-to-plant with some dead, some with fungus and generally unhealthy appearance. Most plant groupings need to be filled in with new plants on an ongoing basis. (Medians 5, 6, 19, 18, 29 for example) • GENERAL: Remove Montgomery palm seed pods. • GENERAL: The Silhouette and Ms. Alice Boug bracts have browned out and in some cases defoliated. Irrigation? • GENERAL: The newly planted Iris are very thin and small. Are they 1 gallon? I fear they may not thrive. I recommend 3 gallon to have immediate impact and health and vigor. • Median 1 — Replace +/- 20 dead Little Red Euphorbia; One random Silhouette still needs to be removed/replaced with Ms. Alice at west tip. • Median 10 — Replace 3 Green Island Ficus from apparent car crash. • Median 13 and 14—Two Foxtails are still yellow with stunted buds (2nd from the west and 2nd from the east). The other Foxtails are also beginning to appear more chlorotic. Possibly treat with sulfur to improve PH to allow to take up nutrients. • Median 17-A few Helen Johnson Bougs need to be replaced where appears were run over. The remaining plants in the area are brown and defoliated. The following replacements were noted and should be put in the rotation if and when directed and authorized by Pam Lulich: • In general, keep working towards replacement of all Dinnis with Dianella moving forward as they decline Windham Studio,Inc.,Landscape Architecture,LC 26000365 P.O.
