PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, Code Enforcement Officers provide for the safety, health and we/fare of the
citizens in this community through the enforcement of building, zoning, housing,
animal control, fire safety, environmental, and other codes and ordinances; and
WHEREAS, Code Enforcement Officers who are members of Associations of Code Enforcement
are dedicated, well-trained, and highly responsible individuals who take their jobs
seriously, are proud of their departments and the local government within which
they serve, and are committed to improving lives and neighborhoods in the course
of their daily jobs; and,
WHEREAS, Every day, assisted by Code Enforcement Operations staff, they provide quality
customer service to the public for the betterment of the community; and
WHEREAS, The Florida Association of Code Enforcement (F.A.C.E.) has declared the first
week of June be set aside by local government to honor and recognize their Code
Enforcement Officers and to highlight the contributions these individuals have made
to the quality of our communities; to recognize the participation and dedication of
Code Enforcement Officers who have contributed their time and expertise to the
improvement of our community; and to thank community members for their efforts
in achieving voluntary compliance with the Code of Laws and Ordinances;
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County,
Florida, that the week of June .1-5, 2015 be designated as
CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS APPRECIATION WEEK
in accordance with the statewide observance of the same and encourage the citizens of
Collier County, to join this Board in expressing appreciation for the dedication and
outstanding service provided by the individuals who serve as our Code Enforcement
Officers.
