A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROPOSED SPECIAL ACT
Y REPEALING CHAPTER 70-641, LAWS OF FLORIDA,
't41 RELATING TO COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING ,
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO APPOINT AND
EMPLOY A COMPETENT MEDICAL EXAMINER AND
ASSISTANTS; DEFINING THE RESPONSIBILITY, AUTHORITY
AND QUALIFICATIONS OF SUCH APPOINTEES AND FIXING
THE TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT AND COMPENSATION.
WHEREAS, Chapter 70-641, Laws of Florida, relating to Collier
County, Florida, authorizing the Board of County Commissioners to
appoint and employ a competent medical examiner and assistants,
y defining the responsibility, authority and qualification of such
appointees and fixing the terms of employment and compensation has
been superseded

by general law; and
4: WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it to be in
4',. the best interest of Collier County to repeal in

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1) The proposed Special Act which repeals Chapter 70-641, '
Laws of Florida, attached hereto as Exhibit "A" is hereby
• approved.

2) The Staff is hereby directed to send the attached
, proposed Special Act to the Legislative Delegation for
consideration during the 1994 Legislative Session.

13 Section 1. The purpose of this Act is to repeal a special
