Meeting was called to order at 3:00 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance recited and roll call taken.
The minutes from the January 15, 2014 meeting were approved.
The following Citizen Corp members were re-elected to serve another 2 years.
Chairman Russ Rainey,MikeJonesVice Chairman&Jerry Sanford Secretary.
Threat Update
Lt. Mike Jones reported that there is no change in the threat level of Yellow.
Emergency Management Update.
Judy Scribner has retired from the EOC with no replacement yet. EOC has been
recertified by the Weather service. The All Hazard Guide will be re-printed.
USCGA
Walt Jaskiewicz reported that the Coast Guard will be printing the storm
brochures regarding the securing of your boat.
Old Business
Russ Rainey reported that over 100 people participated in the CERT disaster drill
held on Saturday, February 22"d, 2014 in North Naples. It was a very successful
drill enjoyed by all the teams.
Jerry Sanford reported that he held two Cert graduation's due to the large group
that took the 8 weeks of training. One was March 3rd and the other on March
10th that included 6 members of the {CAP) Civil Air Patrol. Jerry is going to
Washington DC on April 25th as a guardian to a veteran on the 2"d Collier County
Honor Flight.
Lisa Carr reports that RSVP will be hosting their annual luncheon for the
volunteer's in her program to be held on March 20th at the Water Park.The
luncheon has been scaled down due to some policy changes.The grant process
will begin this spring with some changes to come.
Mike Jones reports that the Collier County Fair opens on Thursday, March 13th.
Hero's is the theme this year.
Dr. Neiween reports that the flu season has been mild so far. The MRC is hosting
a Radiation Response Training Course on Friday,April 18,2014 at North Collier
Regional Park from 8:30 am to 4:00 p.m.
Walt Jaskiewicz reports that a new Coast Guard Commandant on the Gold Side
has been announced. This is the 75th anniversary of the Auxiliary Coast Guard.
16 people have been certified in the "AMROS"training program.
Next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 21,2014 at 3:00 p.m
Meeting was adjourned at 4:00 p.m.
