A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY
MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE SOVEREIGNTY
SUBMERGED LANDS LEASE ANNUAL WETSLIP REVENUE
REPORTS ON BEHALF OF THE COUNTY AND REMIT PAYMENTS
TO THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL
PROTECTION FOR THE PUBLIC'S USE OF SOVEREIGNTY
SUBMERGED LANDS.
WHEREAS, the public's use of Cocohatchee River Park, Caxambas Boat Park, and
Goodland Boat Park, are regulated by Sovereignty Submerged Lands Leases between Collier
County and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP); and
WHEREAS, each Sovereignty Submerged Land Lease Agreement requires the County
to submit an annual "Sovereignty Submerged Lands Lease Annual Wetslip Revenue Report"
(Report) which documents the number and types of wetslips within the lease boundary and the
gross income received from the facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners approves each report and its
Chairman executes the required Certification which is then remitted to the FDEP along with
the annual lease fee and wetslip rental supplemental charges; and
WHEREAS, frequently, the process of receiving Board approval delays submittal of the
required Reports and payments to the FDEP which subjects the County to a 12% late payment
fee; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners desires to set forth an administrative
process to ensure timely remittance of all annual fees and reports required by the above-
referenced Sovereignty Submerged Lands Leases.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board of County
Commissioners hereby authorizes the County Manager, or his designee, to sign and remit the
Sovereignty Submerged Lands Lease Annual Wetslip Revenue Report as required by the
Cocohatchee River Park, Caxambas Boat Park, and Goodland Boat Park Sovereignty
Submerged Lands Leases and further authorizes payment of the related annual lease fees and

wetslip rental supplemental payments as invoiced by the Florida Department of Environmental
Protection Agency.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED after motion, second and majority vote on this the
