Notice is hereby given that the Collier County Board of County Commissioners, City of Naples,
City of Marco Island, City of Everglades City will meet in the BoarCs Chambers on the Third
Floor of the Administration Building (Building F) at the Collier County Government Complex,
Naples, Florida, to discuss FEMA map changes, at the above stated time and date.
Copies of the agenda for said meeting will be made available to the press and may be obtained at
the office of the County Administrator, same location, same period of time.
Any person who decides to appeal a decision of this Board will need a record of the proceedings
pertaining thereto, and therefore may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is
made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.

Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) proposed reclassification of the Golden
Gate Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM) because I believe the data used by FEMA as
a basis for such reclassification is insufficient to justify such changes.
Because of the magnitude of the proposed FEMA reclassification on the approximate
12,000 residents of Golden Gate Estates, ! am in favor of the County Commission
hiring a competent consultant to make a scientific review of the data of the models
FEMA used for its reclassification of the Golden Gate Estates.
I am also in favor of the Board requesting FEMA to postpone any reclassification of
the Golden Gate Estates until such time a~ the consultant is able to present his/her
findings to the Board and to FEMA.
