ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

ISLES OF CAPRI FIRE STATION
ATTENDEES: Jim Hughes, Chairman

I. CALL TO ORDER
A. Jim Hughes opened the meeting at 4:05 p.m.
II. REPORTS
A. Motion to approve ICFD Advisory Meeting Minutes for the months of August,
September, and October by Matt Crowder.
1. Motion seconded by Ray Kane.
2. Motion carried unanimously.
3. Regular meetings of 08/08/13 and 09/12/13.
4. Special meetings of 09/06/13, 09/19/13, 09/26/13, 10/10/13, & 10/24/13.
B. Chief's Report.
1. Image Trend September 2013 incident reports were provided.
2. September results: 28 Engine responses, 52 Medic Rescue responses.
3. Image Trend October 2013 incident reports were provided.
4. October results: 37 Engine responses, 39 Medic Rescue responses.
III. NEW BUSINESS
A. Committee members Ben Hilbun and Dan Sansevieri have resigned from the
ICFD Advisory Committee.
B. Chairman Jim Hughes' term expires on 12/31/13.
1. Chairman Hughes has submitted an application for an additional term.
2. No other applications were received by the BCC for this position.
3. Ray Kane supports the re-appointment of Jim Hughes.
4. Matt Crowder supports the re-appointment of Jim Hughes.
C. Comments by Dan Summers, Bureau of Emergency Services Director.
1. Until the Isles of Capri Fire District MSTU is dissolved,the ICFD Advisory
Committee will continue to exist and meet on a monthly basis.
2. Comments relating to a recent MedFlight Safety Incident.
a. Rotorwash is significant from MedFlight.
b. Signage is being developed to advise residents to be safety conscious
as MedFlight approaches the ICFD helipad.
1. Belongings should be secured.
2. Awareness of the space surrounding MedFlight & the landing
zone is critical.
IV. ADJOURNMENT
A. Motion to adjourn the meeting by Ray Kane at 4:37 p.m.
1. Motion seconded by Matt Crowder.
2. Motion carried unanimously.
